The statistics show that in 2012 there was an average of 13 pedestrians killed per day in the United States. Pedestrians were one of the few groups of road users to experience an increase in fatalities in the United States in 2012, totaling 4,743 deaths. That’s an alarming statistic, that’s more than three times the amount of people that died on the RMS Titanic. In addition to this horrific statistic the data also shows that in 2012 208 pedestrians were injured per day and that came to a grand total of 76,000 for the year.
