Holiday Safety Part 4 Shopping Center Safety
Wrapping up our Holiday Safety series is a look at potential dangers while visiting shopping centers. With only a couple days left before Christmas, last-minute shoppers will be heading to stores, malls and shopping centers. While it is a festive time of year, it can also be a very dangerous time to be in crowded stores and in parking garages.
Shopping Center Safety –Due to the negligence of mall owners and store operators, shoppers may be exposed to a number of hazards while purchasing items and gifts. Accidents include slipping and falling on wet or icy parking lots and tripping over poorly maintained sidewalks and surfaces in parking garages and lots. Premises liability injuries also are not uncommon and occur when merchandise hanging on walls or sitting on shelves falls on customers and causes injury. Stores have a responsibility to properly maintain merchandise and the condition of their facilities. Poorly maintained escalators and elevators can also cause injuries.
If you or a loved one has been injured in a store or shopping center or involved in any other accident this holiday season, you should discuss your case with an experienced personal injury attorney. For more than 20 years, our team has helped victims recover compensation to cover medical bills, long-term care, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other related expenses.
