Driscoll Family Files Lawsuit
The Driscoll Family, which Dixon Law Office represents, filed a lawsuit on March 20 against the driver who struck and killed their daughter as she walked across an intersection with her dog on November 9 in Naperville, as reported in this Chicago Tribune story.
To date, only minor charges have been filed against the driver, Kenneth E. Holmberg, 74, of Plainfield. Naperville Police charged Holmberg with disobeying a traffic light and failing to exercise due care to avoid an accident after he struck and killed Driscoll.
Dixon Law Office founder, G. Grant Dixon III, said, “in the lawsuit, the family is suing the driver for his egregious, severe and terrible act. As the family grieves the loss of their daughter, they remain concerned that Mr. Holmberg will do this again to another family. They are taking this action in part to bring awareness to the accident so other families don’t have to suffer like they have.”
