Dixon Law Office Spreads Thanksgiving Cheer Locally

As we enter the holiday season approaches, Dixon Law Office embraced the spirit of giving back to the community that has supported us for the past 23 years. In celebration of our 23rd anniversary, we were excited to undertake a special initiative that aimed to bring warmth, joy, and sustenance to 23 local families.

The team at Dixon Law Office recently embarked on a heartfelt mission to provide Thanksgiving meals for families in need. We believe in making a tangible impact in the lives of those around us all year round but especially during this time of year when the hustle and bustle can overshadow the true meaning of the season.

For our 23rd anniversary, we purchased all the ingredients for 23 area families to prepare complete Thanksgiving feasts – turkeys with a roasting pan, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, dinner rolls, corn, green beans, pumpkin pies with whipped cream, and we even remembered the cranberry sauce! The goal was simple yet profound — to offer a delicious and comforting meal to 23 families in the LaGrange / Countryside / Hodgkins communities.

In collaboration with Gurrie Middle School in LaGrange, we entrusted Principal Ed Hood to coordinate the distribution of these Thanksgiving meals. This approach allowed us to maintain the dignity of the families we aimed to assist, as they could pick up the food without the need to wait in line at a food pantry or answer any intrusive questions.

The decision to contribute in this manner was rooted in our commitment to fostering a sense of community, gratitude, and empathy. It served as a reminder to our team, especially during the hectic holiday season, of how truly blessed we are.

We understood that the impact of our work extended beyond legal representation; it was about making a positive difference in the lives of those who entrusted us with their cases. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back, and we hope to inspire others to join us in spreading kindness and compassion throughout our community.

As we reflected on the past 23 years, we were filled with gratitude for the relationships we have built and the lives we have touched. Dixon Law Office remains dedicated to serving the people of LaGrange, not only in the courtroom but also in the heart of the community we call home.
