Consumer Safety Website Launches

The website is called www.SaferProducts.gov. With the new website, “consumers will have open access to product safety information that they have never seen before and the information will empower them to make safer choices,” said Chairman Inez Tenenbaum, chairperson of the CPSC. On the Report tab, consumers report any problems they have with a product they already own. On the Search tab, consumers can check products to see if there are any reported problems or recalls. “This website makes more of the amazing data the CPSC has available to the public and hopefully will encourage manufacturers to report unsafe products more quickly,” Dixon Law Office founder Grant Dixon said.
